Buzz is that actor Aamir Khan will be soon seen donning the role of a wrestler in his next movie. Aamir Khan had not signed any movie post PK, but, if the reports are to be believed, now finally Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist is all geared up to step into the shoes of the prominent wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The film titled ‘Kushti’ will be a cinematographic biography of the life of the former wrestler. Apparently, this film will also throw light upon the life of a wrestler and the adversity they have to undergo.
It all initiated with the appearance of Geeta and Babita, Phogat’s daughters, on Aamir’s chat show ‘Satyamev Jayate.’ The two young ladies are wrestlers themselves and have been trained by their father. While interacting with Aamir on the show, they had shared their plight with him. Gradually, Aamir got to know what struggles had their father Mahavir made to making his daughters self sufficient, and how he would do anything to save his daughters from being exposed to the same hardships. This arrested the interest of Aamir and he decided to make a film based on the wrestler. Reportedly, Aamir is lately undergoing vigorous training to fit into the role of a wrestler. He will be seen playing the role of a father who trains his daughters to take up the sport.
Mahavir Singh Phogat, is well known in the sports arena because he had trained three Commonwealth Games gold medalists. He had made headlines lately for the fact that he was not considered for being awarded with the prestigious Dronacharya Award for the third consecutive year.
